  1. P-51D Mustang - 332nd Fighter Group "Red Tail"

P-51D Mustang - 332nd Fighter Group "Red Tail"

    SGD 165.00
    # BKM259 The P-51 "Mustang" was the answer to the Allied need for a long-range high performance fighter plane to escort heavy bombers deep over enemy territory. With a supercharged 12-cylinder Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, high capacity external fuel tanks, and six .50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun, the P51 could hold its own against any fighters the Axis could muster all the way to and from the bombing target. The P-51 could also be configured to carry bombs and 5" rockets against ground targets, and was an effective fighter bomber in its own right. The P-51D was the most widely produced model of World War II and can be distinguished from earlier models by its bubble shaped canopy. The “Tuskegee Airmen” was the popular name of the 332nd fighter group, a group of African-American pilots who served in WWII. They were the first African-American aviators in the United States Armed Forces, a major accomplishment considering that many black Americans were still subject to Jim Crow laws and the American military was a segregated institution. The “Red Tail” moniker came from the fact that pilots in the 332nd would paint the noses, wingtips and rudders of their planes red. All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition elements from LEGO and BrickArms. This model comes disassembled, includes printed building instructions, and comes packaged in a sealed box. This is a limited edition kit and production may be discontinued at any time.

    DUKW - Amphibious Truck

    SGD 247.50
    # BKM289 The DUKW (ubiquitously known as the "Duck") was a 2 1/2 cargo truck fitted with a boat shaped hull and a propeller for amphibious use during waterborne operations. DUKWs (designated by their GMC vehicle classification) was developed independently from the standard military procurement system in anticipation of waterborne invasions that would be a part of any American involvement in World War II. The DUKW was only reluctantly adopted by the US Army, who inititally did not see the need for such a craft. In practice, the DUKW proved an invaluable tool for bringing war material from ships to shore as well as saving thousands of lives by bringing back wounded soldiers to operating rooms in hospital ships off shore. Thousands of DUKWs were built during World War II and were used by the US Army, US Marines and Allied forces as well. Post-war advances kept the DUKW and active part of the military long after World War II and are still in use by some special forces troops today. StuG III Ausf G (Sturmgeschütz 40)

    SGD 337.50
    # BKM254 The Sturmgeschütz III (Ausf G) is a infantry support vehicle produced by Germany in World War II. The Sturmgeschütz III combined a Panzer III chassis with a fixed casemate and a powerful gun. Designed as mobile artillery to escort infantry attacks, the StuG III proved cheaper and quicker to produce than tanks and increasingly took on the anti-tank role as well. With more than 10,000 built, the StuG III was the most prevalent German armored fighting vehicle of the war. In action from December, 1942 until the final days of the war, the Ausf. G was by far the most common variant. It carried a high-velocity, long-barreled 7.5cm gun, capable of blasting both fortifications and heavy enemy tanks, as well as a shielded MG34 on the loader’s hatch. Many vehicles featured shot deflectors around the commander’s cupola as well. In summer 1943, armor plates, or Shürzen, were bolted on to protect the sides and tracks. Adding to the Ausf. G’s distinctive look was the Saukopf, or “Pig’s Head,” gun mantlet, designed with rounded edges to deflect incoming rounds. All Brickmania® model kits are made of new-condition LEGO® bricks. 75mm MLE 1897 - WWI French Cannon (V2 - 2015 Edition)

    SGD 67.50
    # BKM407-2 The French 75mm Field Gun ("Matériel de 75mm Mle 1897") is widely considered to be the first modern artillery piece. Adopted by the French army in 1897, it was the first gun to be equipped with a hydro-pneumatic recoil system, which allowed the gun to be fired in place without re-aiming between each round. Other advanced features included a quick-operating screw breech mechanism and singe piece ammunition (warhead attached to a propellent-filled brass shell casing). A well trained 75mm crew could fire at the incredible rate of 30 rounds per minute. Originally designed to deliver shrapnel rounds against large infantry formations, the battle conditions of World War I saw the adaptation of high explosive and chemical warheads. In addition to being the main artillery piece of the French Army, more than 2000 were supplied to the American Expeditionary Force during World War I (officially named the M1897 in American service). There was also a truck-mounted anti-aircraft version of this versatile weapon. Modernized versions of the 75mm Mle 1897 saw combat during World War II. SGD 142.50
    # BKM794 Proceeds from this project will go to benefit the Ukrainian Red Cross and other humanitarian organizations directly involved in providing relief to the Ukrainian people. In the wake of Russia’s ongoing aggression against the sovereign state of Ukraine, the world has taken note of new urban legends that have rallied hope for those in Ukraine as well as for supporters abroad. One such legend is the unconfirmed Ukrainian MiG-29 Fulcrum pilot nicknamed the 'Ghost of Kyiv' who reportedly shot down six Russian planes in the Kyiv offensive on February 24, 2022, and, according to Security Service of Ukraine, has shot down 10 Russian jets total as of February 27, 2022. “When I heard this story of the Ghost of Kyiv, a Ukrainian fighter pilot who is reported to have shot down five Russian aircraft in one day, it inspired me to make a model of it. The story, whether fiction or fact, is representative of the David vs. Goliath fight happening right now in Ukraine. The narrative is a perfect direction for a spotlight benefit project to raise funds for humanitarian aid. It’s a win-win for the people who support the fight for freedom in Ukraine and will directly help those on the ground as well.” - Dan Siskind This featured build is modeled after this now legendary MiG-29 and is intended as a fundraiser and show of support for those fighting to protect their freedoms. “The outside world supports Ukraine’s fight for freedom and independence. This project will raise awareness of the valiant struggle that the Ukrainian people are undertaking to protect those freedoms, and it will raise funds for aid organizations and Ukrainian refugees in a timely fashion. The vast support we’ve already received from our fans and builders around the world shows this initiative will have an immediate impact, which is exactly the goal. Many people from Ukraine have already expressed gratitude that we are taking on this project and have not forgotten them. We are a small company, and supporting charity organizations is one of our core values, but this is the first time we’ve taken on a project with a sense of such immediate urgency.” - Dan Siskind We thank you for your support of this endeavor and for your support of the Ukrainian people. Slava Ukraini!

  15. M1A1 75mm Howitzer on M8 Carriage (Boxed)

    M1A1 75mm Howitzer on M8 Carriage (Boxed)

    SGD 27.00
    # BKM2017-1 *Boxed Version* Designed shortly after World War I to replace existing light artillery pieces, the M1 75mm "pack" howitzer was a small artillery piece that could be broken down and transported by pack horses or mules. Not mass produced until the outbreak of World War II, several design improvements were added in 1940, with the new gun designated the M1A1 on M8 Carriage (replacing the original wooden-wheeled gun carriage). The lightweight field gun was mainly used to equip US Army airborne artillery battalions, but was also adopted for use by the US Marine Corps for its campaigns in the Pacific. While not as powerful as the more widely used 105mm howitzers, its small size made it more versatile and easier to transport over rough terrain. Brickmania is pleased to introduce this M1A1 75mm Howitzer kit as part of its Campaign in the Pacific series of model kits.. Additional information about this Brickmania custom Lego® kit: Gun is posable with a full range of elevation Carriage and gun can be "broken down" for transport Can be towed behind any vehicle with a hook type hitch 1/35 scale matches other Brickmania models The over-all color scheme of this model is dark gray Includes 41 LEGO elements.
