Bruno - 28 cm SK L/40 Railway Gun
SGD 937.50# BKM441 Remark: due to the extra discounted price this set will only ship by Economy Post and will take some time to arrive. Sometimes known as the Amiens Gun, the 28cm SK L/40 Railway Gun “Bruno” was produced by Germany within a series of monstrous artillery weapons. The advent of the railway gun was first seen during the American Civil War with the Confederacy deploying a 32-pound gun at Savage Station in June 1862. As the First World War continued, each army continued to develop larger artillery pieces, eventually mounting naval guns on railway cars. These huge weapons often had a range of twenty miles or more, making them both formidable weapons and top priority targets for opposing armies. This tradition continued into the Second World War. There were six 28cm railway guns produced for the German Army. One of the guns was involved in the Battle of Amiens, used to shell the city of Amiens during the summer of 1918. The gun was captured by the Australians during the Battle of Harbonnieres, a massive offensive by the Allies on August 8, 1918. The gun was brought back to Australia as a war trophy and is on display at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. LCVP - Landing Craft Vehicle + Personnel "Higgins Boat" (2017 Edition)
SGD 382.50# BKM2172 Remark: Number on box is misprinted as 2113. Contains the 2017 version of minifigures with torso stickers. Considered by historians as key to Allied victory, the LCVP “Higgins” Boat was a simple design capable of placing men and material where they were needed. Prior to the Higgins, landing troops via amphibious assault was dangerous, slow, and ineffective. Previous designs fared poorly in shallow water and required soldiers to jump over the side of their craft. Although it was poorly received by the Navy, Louisiana businessman and boat-builder Andrew Higgins designed a boat that could operate in just three feet of water while carrying 8,000 pounds of cargo, thirty-six men, or twelve men and a Jeep. The design was simple – a boxy shape with an open top and a large, wide ramp that allowing soldiers or Jeeps to deploy quickly. Much of the boat was mahogany, a light and durable sub-tropical wood that allowed the boat to return to the sea after deploying its cargo. The Higgins arrived at precisely the right time. In the Pacific theater, amphibious assaults would be key to capturing islands from Japanese forces. In Europe, these assaults would be required to liberate both Italy and France. When Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, they deployed from over 800 of these landing craft. There are several famous images with Army Rangers deploying on Omaha Beach from the Higgins boat. This scene was also depicted in the award-winning film Saving Private Ryan, granting modern audiences a realistic look at the struggle by Allied forces. Many of the Allied commanders used the Higgins extensively, resulting in over 20,000 to be produced during the war period 1941-1945. The US military continued to use the basic Higgins design in future generations of amphibious landing craft. M1A1 75mm Howitzer on M8 Carriage (Boxed)
SGD 27.00# BKM2017-1 *Boxed Version* Designed shortly after World War I to replace existing light artillery pieces, the M1 75mm "pack" howitzer was a small artillery piece that could be broken down and transported by pack horses or mules. Not mass produced until the outbreak of World War II, several design improvements were added in 1940, with the new gun designated the M1A1 on M8 Carriage (replacing the original wooden-wheeled gun carriage). The lightweight field gun was mainly used to equip US Army airborne artillery battalions, but was also adopted for use by the US Marine Corps for its campaigns in the Pacific. While not as powerful as the more widely used 105mm howitzers, its small size made it more versatile and easier to transport over rough terrain. Brickmania is pleased to introduce this M1A1 75mm Howitzer kit as part of its Campaign in the Pacific series of model kits.. M102 Howitzer
SGD 52.50# BKM1009 The M102 105mm howitzer was developed as a repalcement for the World War II vintage M101 as the US Army’s main fire support artillery piece. The M102 was first used by combat troops during the Vietnam War, where it’s lightweight aluminum chassis and its rapid rotation swivel base proved it a worthy upgrade to its venerable forebearer. The lightweight of the new weapon meant it could be more easily handled by troops, but more importnaly it could be airlifted to remote fire support bases by helicopter or parachute dropped with airborne units. During the Veitnam War, the M102 was commonly transported by a CH-47 Chinook helicopter or towed behind a M35 6×6 Truck and in more recent times by the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and HMMWV (“Humvee”) utility vehicle. Additional information about this Brickmania custom Lego® kit: Gun is fully poseable with full elevation and 360° traverse Can be towed behind any vehicle with a hook type hitch 1/35 scale matches other Brickmania models The over-all color scheme of this model is dark gray Includes 115 LEGOelements. DUKW - Amphibious Truck
SGD 247.50# BKM289 The DUKW (ubiquitously known as the "Duck") was a 2 1/2 cargo truck fitted with a boat shaped hull and a propeller for amphibious use during waterborne operations. DUKWs (designated by their GMC vehicle classification) was developed independently from the standard military procurement system in anticipation of waterborne invasions that would be a part of any American involvement in World War II. The DUKW was only reluctantly adopted by the US Army, who inititally did not see the need for such a craft. In practice, the DUKW proved an invaluable tool for bringing war material from ships to shore as well as saving thousands of lives by bringing back wounded soldiers to operating rooms in hospital ships off shore. Thousands of DUKWs were built during World War II and were used by the US Army, US Marines and Allied forces as well. P-51D Mustang - 332nd Fighter Group "Red Tail"
SGD 165.00# BKM259 The P-51 "Mustang" was the answer to the Allied need for a long-range high performance fighter plane to escort heavy bombers deep over enemy territory. With a supercharged 12-cylinder Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, high capacity external fuel tanks, and six .50 caliber Browning M2 machine gun, the P51 could hold its own against any fighters the Axis could muster all the way to and from the bombing target. The P-51 could also be configured to carry bombs and 5" rockets against ground targets, and was an effective fighter bomber in its own right. The P-51D was the most widely produced model of World War II and can be distinguished from earlier models by its bubble shaped canopy. The “Tuskegee Airmen” was the popular name of the 332nd fighter group, a group of African-American pilots who served in WWII. They were the first African-American aviators in the United States Armed Forces, a major accomplishment considering that many black Americans were still subject to Jim Crow laws and the American military was a segregated institution. The “Red Tail” moniker came from the fact that pilots in the 332nd would paint the noses, wingtips and rudders of their planes red. All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition elements from LEGO and BrickArms. This model comes disassembled, includes printed building instructions, and comes packaged in a sealed box. This is a limited edition kit and production may be discontinued at any time. -

SU-76 Self Propelled Gun
SGD 262.50# BKM262 When Germany invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, much of existing light tank force was overwhelmed in the opening months of conflict and its surviving armor was found to be woefully under-armed against Panzer III and IV adversaries. As expedient measure to mount a more powerful weapon on an easy-to-product light armored hull, the effective Zis 3 76mm anti-tank gun was mated to an enlarged version of the T-70 light tank hull. Cheaper to produce than the similarly armed (but better armored) T-34 medium tank, the Su-76 and it's low profile, was perfectly suited as an anti-tank weapon. The gun's high elevation arc also made the SU-76 well suited for indirect artillery support with an impressive range of 17 kilometers. However, the SU-76's powerful gun, compact size, low ground pressure and small noise signature made it a truly valuable direct infantry support weapon. It was renowned for it's ability to traverse terrain impassable by heavier armored vehicles and was oftem used in supoort of lighting infantry assaults. After early problems were resolved in the automotive system, the SU-76 was loved by its crews for its simple layout and reliable performance, while also being hated for its spartan crew comforts and limited armor protection. The SU-76 was produced from 1942 through the end of World War II and was second only to the venerable T-34 inproduction totals T-34 with more 14,000 Additional information about this Brickmania custom Lego® kit: Brickmania's SU-76 model is based on the improved middle production series SU-76M version with an open fighting compartment at the aft of the vehicles.
