SGD 540.00# BKM850 The Bell AH-1 SuperCobra is a twin-engine attack helicopter based on the United States Army’s single-engine AH-1 Cobra. The Marine Corps wanted a greater load carrying capability in high temperatures for the Cobra during the 1970s. This need for improvement ultimately led to the development of the AH-1W SuperCobra during the early 1980s. This specific variant had a day/night version with more powerful engines and advanced weapons capability. The AH-1 SuperCobra has been used extensively through multiple wars including the Iran-Iraq War, Gulf War and the March 2003 Iraq campaign. During the Gulf War, 78 were deployed and flew a total of 1,273 missions into Iraq with no combat losses. Current countries operating this craft include Iran, United States, Turkey and the Republic of China (Taiwan). LCVP - Landing Craft Vehicle + Personnel "Higgins Boat"
SGD 330.00# BKM2113 The LCVP was landing boat designed and manufactured by Higgins Industries and was used extensively by US forces, during the myriad of amphibious landings during World War II. The LCVP was 36 feet in length, had a shallow draft, and had a ramp at the bow ramp that spanned the entire width of the hull. During an amphibious landing, it would be lowered into the sea from a larger ship, where troops would descend into the boat via cargo net lowered down the ship's side. LCVP could carry a platoon of 36 combat troops or a small vehicle such as a jeep to shore, thus earning the designation Landing Craft Vehicle, Personnel. The LCVP was armed with two .30 caliber Browning machine guns and was manned by a crew of four. The boat was constructed mainly of plywood, with the steel bow ramp serving as the main armor protection against shore fire. Its 225 horsepower diesel engine pushed the LCVP to 12 knots. The boat's shallow draft meant it could be beached directly on short, the ramp lowered for troops or vehicles to rapidly disgorge. The LCVP would then back away from shore and return to its mother ship for another load. With more than 20,000 LCVP made during the war, it was undoubtedly one of the crucial items that helped deliver the Allied victory in Europe and Asia. Features of the LCVP kit include: Three custom WWII US Navy minifigs Two BrickArms M1919 Machine Guns Opening bow ramp with cable spool Includes 414 LEGO®, Brickmania™ and BrickArms® elements 1/35 scale matches other Brickmania models The over-all color scheme of this model is light gray Intermediate Skill Level (4-6 years experience with LEGO is recommended) This is a sturdy model that has been play tested by kids during World War Brick activities! BM-13N Katyusha - Rocket Launcher
SGD 255.00# BKM2130 The Katyusha rocket launchers were a series of multiple rocket artillery built and used by the Soviets in WWII. This type of artillery was used to deliver explosives to a target area more quickly than conventional artillery, but suffered from lower accuracy and a longer reload time. While relatively fragile when compared to traditional artillery, they were inexpensive, easy to produce and usable on any chassis, usually ordinary trucks. This high mobility gave the Katyushas an additional advantage: the ability to strike and move before being located and hit with counter-fire. They were incredibly effective in saturation bombardment, and particularly feared by German soldiers. A battery of four BM-13 launchers could fire a salvo in 7–10 seconds that delivered over 4 tons of high explosives over a 4,300,000 sq ft impact zone, making its power roughly equivalent to that of 72 guns. With an efficient crew, the launchers could redeploy to a new location immediately after firing, denying the enemy the opportunity for retaliation fire. Katyusha batteries were often massed in very large numbers to create a shock effect on enemy forces. The weapon's disadvantage was the long time it took to reload a launcher, in contrast to conventional guns which could sustain a continuous low rate of fire. This kit is modelled after the BM-13, mounted on Studebaker trucks. The BM-13 utilized M-13 132mm rockets, and was often mounted on the ZIS-6 truck, an improvised vehicle mount or towed trailer or sled. The M-13s had a max range of 9,560 yards. The scream of the warheads being launched prompted the Germans to nickname the Katyushas “Stalins Organ”. All in all, the Katyusha’s were an incredibly effective “Shock and Awe” weapon. Additional information about this Brickmania custom Lego® kit: The BM-13N Katyusha - Rocket Launcher has the following features: 1 Russian mid-war minifigure with BrickArms PPsH Opening hood Printed tile with site Working steering Working stabilizers Crank raises missile rail bed 8 working flick-missile rockets All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition LEGO bricks. T-72 "Ural" Main Battle Tank
SGD 517.50# BKM846 Developed in 1971, the T-72 “Ural” was designed in the tradition of inexpensive and effective Russian tanks. Beginning with the T-34 medium tank of World War II, Soviet tank designers set out to compete with Western military hardware. The T-72 maintained close performance to Western main battle tanks while keeping the cost low. It came armed with a 125 mm smoothbore tank gun and an optical coincidence rangefinder. Later improvements came with laser rangefinder systems. The T-72 “Ural” had an automatic loading system, eliminating the need for a dedicated crewmember. One of the key features of the T-72 is the attached 125 mm 2A46 series main gun, which is significantly larger than the standard 105 mm gun found in western MBTs. The main gun is complemented by a “Siren” two-plane electrohydraulic stabilizer, which allows automatic stabilization with speeds from .05-6 degrees per second. Additional information about this Brickmania custom kit: The T-72 "Ural" Main Battle Tank has the following features Fully articulated Brickmania Track Links™ Ultra rare, hand-injected DShK “dushka” anti-aircraft heavy machine gun from BrickArms® Fully rotating turret with posable main gun Includes one Modern Russian Tank Commander minifig Opening hatches on turret and hull 1/35 scale to match other Brickmania models Includes 686 genuine new-condition LEGO®, Brickmania and BrickArms elements Intermediate Skill Level (4-6 years experience with LEGO is recommended) All Brickmania model kits are made of new-condition LEGO bricks. M1A1 - 75mm Howitzer on M8 Carriage (Clamshell)
SGD 27.00# BKM2017-2 *Clamshell Packaging* Designed shortly after World War I to replace existing light artillery pieces, the M1 75mm "pack" howitzer was a small artillery piece that could be broken down and transported by pack horses or mules. Not mass produced until the outbreak of World War II, several design improvements were added in 1940, with the new gun designated the M1A1 on M8 Carriage (replacing the original wooden-wheeled gun carriage). The lightweight field gun was mainly used to equip US Army airborne artillery battalions, but was also adopted for use by the US Marine Corps for its campaigns in the Pacific. While not as powerful as the more widely used 105mm howitzers, its small size made it more versatile and easier to transport over rough terrain. Brickmania is pleased to introduce this M1A1 75mm Howitzer kit as part of its Campaign in the Pacific series of model kits.. P-40 Warhawk - US Army Air Force Edition
SGD 292.50# BKM2064A The P-40 Warhawk was a widely used American fighter aircraft of World War II designed and manufactured by the Curtiss-Wright corporation. Lend-Lease P-40s first saw service with British forces in North Africa, who dubbed the original version the Tomahawk and later improved variants the Kittyhawk. Designed primarily as a ground support aircraft, it was ruggedly built and performed well at low altitudes. It was a capable fighter in air-to-air combat, but not as nimble as many Axis fighters such as the Bf-109 and the A6M Zero. The Warhawk was used by Allied forces throughout the war and in all theaters of combat except northwestern Europe, where it was hampered by its poor high altitude performance. More than 13,700 P-40s of all types were manufactured during the war, making it the third most-produced American fighter aircraft (after the P-51 and P-47). Perhaps the most famous of all units to use the P-40 during the war was the 1st American Volunteer Group, who helped defend China against the invading Imperial Japanese Army before Pearl Harbor and official American involvement in World War II. Known as the Flying Tigers, the AVG famously painted the shark’s mouth design on all of their aircraft.
